Why girls win?
So clearly, girls are winning by a landslide. Why do you all think this is? In my opinion I think girls are better suited for wrestling due to our (typically) superior flexibility and leg strength. Time and time again we see that guys just have very little chance against this, despite having a significant age and weight advantage.

It’s because girls are better than boys :D :D once a girl gets her legs wrapped around a dude it’s over. It’s because of the hips being wider and stronger too. Girls hip and leg strength and flexibility combined are too much for any dude, even if he’s a Heavyweight muscle monster and she’s just a featherweight wrestler - Girls can easily squeeze over 120kgs with padding, without we are talking 150 + that’s way over 300 lbs

But even if you take away that advantage and make girls wretle girls in Greco roman rule where you can’t do leg attacks and upper body strength is very important, girls still win :) this is a girl wrestling a dude Greco roman, she suplexes him and ins him in less than 2 minutes,

Girls aren't better than boys! Girls just get lucky and then act like they're soooo good at wrestling. I've wrestled over 10 girls in my years of wrestling and have yet to win against any of them because all they do is abuse their leg strength and flexibility to use cheap and unfair wrestling holds. If there was a rule that said girls can't use their legs then guys would win every time! That greco-roman wrestling video has to be some kind of fluke. I refuse to believe that she really beat him.

Plenty of guys know about how flexible girls are and how much stronger their legs are. I think what we underestimate most often is how strong a girl’s upper body can be. Like the Greco Roman video shows, girls are overpowering us and proving they’re stronger than boys without even using their legs. We always focus on defending against their legs that we forget girls don’t even need them. I can say pretty confidently that girls are some of if not the strongest wrestlers I’ve faced.

DeleteGirls are only wiping the mat with us because girl wrestlers aren’t reflective of girls in general, they either come from wrestling families and were brought up wrestling taught by their dad’s or elder brothers giving them an unfair advantage, or they were stand outs at other sports such as track swimming or gymnastics trying something new and so have an unfair athletic advantage are not typical girls.

Surely there are plenty of boys with that same background, how come they lose as well? Just saying...
DeleteThat’s BS I hated and was never any good at sports before I took up wrestling and none of my family wrestled, but I have fell in love with the sport and the training and even though some of the girls do actually terrify me, I’m undefeated against boys and can’t wait till the next season!

DeleteIn my opinion, we win because simply pound for pound overall women are stronger than men. In wrestling, when a male and female of relative size are matched up, our superior strength will more than likely always prevail.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. Guys that have lost to girls will usually talk about her technique or something like that because it feels less embarrassing, but I think if most boys were honest, they’d admit they just aren’t strong enough to compete against girls.

DeleteBased on my experiences in wrestling, I can’t say no... Our strength comes from size, but since that’s mostly evened our in wrestling, I would say that women are stronger wrestlers and stronger at equal weights in general
